Brooklyn College is soliciting applications for an Finance Manager for Finance-Non-Tax Entities (Associate Director). The Finance Manager manages financial matters for the Brooklyn College Non-Tax Entities under the guidance of the Office of the Comptroller. This role conducts financial planning, reporting, compliance, and investment-related functions while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the management of all accounting functions relating to the Colleges? Non-Tax Levy Entities (Brooklyn College Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation, Brooklyn College Association, Brooklyn College Child Care Center, Brooklyn College Student Services Corporation and Brooklyn College Non-Tax Levy).
Oversee monthly closings and annual audits for the College?s Non-Tax Levy Entities.
Manage staff for preparation of Annual Tax Filings for Organizations Exempt from Taxation by reviewing financial documents, coordinating the annual audits, and supporting preparation of Form 990 for Auxiliary Enterprise Corporation, Brooklyn College Association and Brooklyn College Student Services Inc.
Serve as liaison to City University of New York as it relates to bi-annual and annual deliverables required by Central Office.
Act as lead for the conversion from CUNYfirst Peoplesoft ERP to the migration to Workday ERP.
Manage the monthly reconciliation of Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Revenues, Expenditures and Changes in Net Assets.
Supervise full-time and part-time accounting staff assigned to the College?s Non-Tax Related Entities.
Review current accounting processes, internal controls, and financial standards; recommend and implement process improvements in collaboration with the Comptroller.
Provide support for the related entity Audit and Finance Committee, including preparation of minutes, reports, and governance documentation.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Comptroller.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within a higher education financial or accounting environment.
Background in financial analysis, report preparation, and compliance oversight.
Strong project coordination skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, hands-on environment

May hire, supervise and train finance and/or clerical staff and manage related administrative functions
