Description:
The C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston seeks qualified applicants for a Professor of Practice position (non-tenure-track) in the department of Finance, starting in the fall of 2026.
Responsibilities will include leading the Bauer Personal Financial Planning Program, leading the Bauer Financial Empowerment Program, Faculty Advisor of the Cougar Financial Planning Society (a Bauer Student organization) and teaching related Personal Finance courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels. Candidates must be committed to teaching excellence, student success, curriculum development, engagement with stakeholders and the business community, and professional development of students. Service to the department, college and university will be expected in the form of representation at the appropriate industry conferences.
Applicants with a Graduate degree and a Certified Financial Planner® designation along with a minimum of 5 years industry experience in the Financial Planning profession, as well as experience in teaching at a Tier-1 research university (master’s and undergraduate levels) are preferred.
