Goodman Masson have partnered with an innovative UK based Insurance company to assist them in their search for a driven Finance Reporting Manager. The client offers a range of amazing benefits with an even better flexible working scheme. The role will be based remotely with occasional days in their offices based in Stevenage.
The successful Finance Reporting Manager will be responsible for preparing and ensuring the accuracy of the financial and management accounts of the group of companies according to auditors, regulatory and HMRC requirements.
Preparation of monthly financial management reports for inclusion in the management information pack to strict deadlines and to comply with best practice and established accounting policies
Preparation of the Finance Directors report to be included within the monthly management information pack.
Prepare monthly work papers to support the monthly reports. Ensure that reconciliations and control procedures are maintained accurately, to cover household business underwritten, and our investment portfolios.
Prepare the accruals and prepayments schedules for the insurance business and process through the general ledger
Supply monthly CPA details for all affinities and together business,
Prepare the monthly management information packs for issue to the Board, managers and external advisers/regulators, including liaison with all business functions to ensure accurate and timely submission of information
Accounting for After the Event Legal business and settling balances with solicitors and reinsurer partners.
Manage the database for After the Event Legal business
Accounting/overseeing the accounting for three subsidiary companies and completing the monthly bank reconciliations, reviewing daily journals
Recording and forecasting of cashflows across the group companies. Arranging draw down from investments when required.
Tracking project progress and reporting in the monthly management information packs.
Prepare annual budget and forecasts for balance sheets
Produce and manage the corporation tax, VAT and IPT returns. Ensure returns and payments are made on time
Prepare the annual statutory accounts for the group and all subsidiary companies under UK GAAP, including conversion to FRS 102/103
Draft periodic/annual returns including ABI, PRA and FCA
Responsibly for ensuring all quarterly
Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Experience of management and statutory reporting experience in insurance over 5 years
Experience completing company tax returns
Experience of management and statutory accounts preparation and reporting in insurance
Experience in general accounting, technical accounting with tax experience
