Description:This position is open to highly accomplished senior scholars with research and teaching interests in any area within the field of finance. Rank is at the tenured full professor level with a further distinction of a university chair professorship. Position duties include publishing in leading finance journals, teaching well at the undergraduate and MBA levels, and contributing to the intellectual life of the college. The University of Notre Dame is located in South Bend, Indiana, about 90 miles from Chicago and 45 minutes from Lake Michigan. The university has approximately 13,000 students, with undergraduates accounting for 70% of the student body. Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a renowned scholar with a demonstrated record of excellence in research, teaching, and service. Ph.D. in Finance or closely related field required.

The University of Notre Dame was founded in November 1842 by Rev. Edward F. Sorin, C.S.C., a priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross, a French missionary order. It is located adjacent to South Bend, Indiana, the center of a metropolitan area with a population of more than 315,000. Chartered by the state of Indiana in 1844, the University was governed by the Holy Cross priests until 1967, when governance was transferred to a two-tiered, mixed board of lay and religious trustees and fellows.
