In today's rapidly evolving world, Fintech and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are fundamentally transforming traditional financial models. This course offers an exploration of how technologies such as blockchain, digital payments, Robo-Advisors, and AI-powered investing are driving innovation across banking, lending, and investment sectors. Through a combination of lectures, guest speakers, case studies, and real-world applications, students will investigate the technical, regulatory, and ethical dimensions of these innovations.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master's or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant area of finance discipline.
Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the graduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course related work to be performed in the state of California.
The estimated hiring salary range for this position is $2,160 -$3,436 dependent on qualifications and hiring step. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
