POSITION DETAILS
CUNY???s Supplier Diversity program has an ambitious agenda to promote and engage minority, women, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses for CUNY???s business opportunities. The Contract Compliance Assistant Manager will work to deliver on CUNY???s vision of maximizing business opportunities for the communities that the University is designed to serve by working to ensure contractor compliance and support the accurate utilization reporting. Reporting directly to the Director of Supplier Diversity, the successful candidate work closely with the campus Business Office.
Additional responsibilities includes, but will not be limited to the following:
- Provides support to Business Offices by proactively managing contract compliance with supplier diversity requirements, and collecting contractually required documentation;
- Performs analyses on applicable procurements for appropriateMinority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises(MWBE) +Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses(SDVOB) goal setting;
- Monitors procurements and contracts to ensure supplier diversity requirements are met and the Business Offices are supported;
- Works closely with the Central Office of Procurement to support the eProcurement software launch;
- Maintains monthly and quarterly statistical reports on supplier diversity utilization and submits reports as required to oversight agencies and CUNY stakeholders, or upon request;
- Develops new procedures, control and reporting mechanisms as necessary;
- Analyzes system-wide expense data to assist in development and growth of the Supplier Diversity program;
- Makes recommendations to policies and procedures to increase the utilization of certified firms;
- Organizes and participates in events both onsite and Tri-State area, which may involve carrying and lifting presentation materials up to 25lbs.
NOTE: Until further notice, work will be performed in a hybrid manner with 70% onsite presence. All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to the Tri-State area.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior vendor outreach and/or procurement experience required;
- Excellent evaluation and research skills;
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office and database applications;
- Advanced knowledge in Excel spreadsheet formulas;
- Detail oriented with excellent writing, organizational skills plus strong presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Willingness and ability to travel to events in the Tri-State, transport and setup materials up to 25lbs;
- Ability to work effectively individually and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders and constituents of various levels; and
- New York State Driver???s License holder preferred.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Coordinates matters related to procurement under management direction.
- Maintains accounts, budgets, contracts, agreements, and documentation related to the procurement process
- Analyzes procurement practices, procedures, and responsibilities, developing process documentation and identifying potential improvements
- Maintains College and University systems that manage and track procurement activities
- Assumes responsibility for selected procurement projects
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range: $55,340 ??? $66,670, negotiable to commensurate with education and experience.
