The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is the leading national and international professional association for Respiratory Care. What do we offer?
Starting range between $90,000-$100,000 based on experience and internal pay equity practices
Hybrid work schedule in Dallas, TX (in office 2 days, remote 3 days)

What will you be doing?
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the department staff and supporting them as needed with their work.
Partnering with the CFO to coordinate and managing the annual budgeting process, working across departments to ensure alignment with strategic and financial goals.
Supporting the CFO in leading staff training initiatives and ensuring effective cross-training and backup coverage across the team.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures that ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
What education, experience and credentials are we looking for?
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum Experience
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar accounting position.
Licensure, Certification or Registry
Preferred CPA however not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
Experience reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy of the general ledger.
Experience recording intercompany transactions and preparing financials.
Understanding of audit standards, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of Sage Intacct and Bill.com preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Experience handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting timely deadlines.
Ability to train, mentor, and provide effective feedback to accounting/finance team members.
Detail-oriented, thorough, and organized.
