Job Overview
Assist management in completing assigned activities to produce payroll results for 17,000+ University employees. Communicate professionally with employees and co-workers. Become familiar with University policies and procedures and apply them to job duties.
Essential Functions
Deliver customer service to employee and partner requests for information in a timely and accurate manner.
Validate data from a variety of sources, input into the payroll system and verify for correctness.
Process bi-weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll runs; then submit the associated ACH/check files to the University?s partner banking institution as a backup.
Report on results for tax entities.
Reconcile tax payments.
Maintain employee confidentiality of personal information.
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
Two (2) years of payroll experience.
Experience with the core Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude to utilize these tools daily.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Prior customer service experience.
FPC Designation.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
