Major Duties
Under general supervision, the IT Finance and Admin Support Coordinator provides essential operational support to the IT Division through a broad range of administrative, financial, and event coordination responsibilities. The incumbent supports financial operations, administrative coordination, and event planning across the IT Division, ensuring effective communication, accuracy, and compliance.
Responsible for event logistics: scheduling, space reservations, catering, communications, AV/tech support, and post-event evaluation.
Performs a variety of administrative coordination responsibilities including preparing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and distributing notes promptly.
Coordinates onboarding activities for new IT staff and supports training logistics for professional development programs.
Equivalent to five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible administrative or technical office management experience in an administrative capacity, exercising independent judgment and leading the work of others.
Equivalent to full-time college or university education/vocational school training in business or job-related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
Experience coordinating events from planning through execution, and experience supporting faculty and academic departments is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of office administration principles, meeting coordination, and document management; skilled in preparing accurate minutes, professional correspondence, and operational schedules; and able to use productivity tools and shared calendars effectively to support departmental goals and ensure timely communication, follow-up, and task completion.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism; skilled in coordinating onboarding, training, and process improvement initiatives; and capable of building strong working relationships across teams to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and overall organizational effectiveness.
Demonstrated ability to process and reconcile financial transactions-including purchase requisitions, travel requests, faculty payments, and budget reports-while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with CSU and CSUN fiscal policies and audit standards.
Skilled in supporting budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, and IT procurement functions, including asset management and vendor coordination, to facilitate efficient operations, fiscal accountability, and strategic planning.

The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4367 - $4634 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $4367 - $6362 per month.
HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
The position is currently hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
