Manager, Business Analytics, Gartner, Inc., Stamford, CT. Collaborate with the Conferences Business Analytics Leadership team to identify and solve commercial challenges using statistical data. Statistical analysis of data sources. Define strategies to increase retention of conference exhibitors. Utilize statistical and nonstatistical analytics to address critical commercial questions and analyze modeling sets using descriptive or predictive techniques. Evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy. Analyze attendee demographic and datasets to identify personas that can be leveraged to customize onsite experience of attendee segments of a conference. Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could impact the results of research. Design, build, and automate the deployment of tabulated data pipelines to support analytics team members with their data and reporting. Collaborate with IT on the architecture, prototyping, and development of data extracts, and the subsequent transformation, cleansing, and integration of data from multiple sources. Support predictive analytics for statistical classification systems for exhibitor and attendee attributes data. Use optimization models to improve conference registrations, revenue, and sponsorships. Support the development of statistical data model, dictionary, and flow diagrams. Report results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables. Analyze and interpret statistical data to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
Use of statistical and datamining tools such as R, Python, or SQL;
Building supervised or unsupervised Machine Learning models;
Data preparation, advanced statistics, recommendation engine, and natural language processing;
Data engineering tasks such as building analytical data records, predictive modeling, and data extraction via SQL; and
Liaising between IT and data stakeholders.
Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer. No supervisory reports or responsibilities.
