Job Description Summary:
The School of Business Administration at Oakland University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Finance, beginning August 15, 2026. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality scholarly research and a commitment to excellence in teaching. Faculty members in the Finance area teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The standard teaching load allows for meaningful research engagement, and the school offers competitive salaries along with excellent fringe benefits. Candidates with expertise across all areas of finance are encouraged to apply, although preference is likely to be given to those with demonstrated teaching expertise in financial analytics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered, provided all requirements for the Ph.D. are completed by August 15, 2026.
