Responsible for assisting in preparation of third-party report filings, including cost reports, and report writing, for a large academic Medical Center with over 500 GME/IME FTEs, $20,000,000 of Medicare DSH reimbursement, and a TEFRA Cancer Exempt Hospital. Runs monthly net revenue reports (Crowe Net Revenue Tool) and manages the administrative duties related to the Crowe Model including monthly updates to settings. Responsible for preparing summary of contract labor for the wage index and other supporting wage index information. Responsible for the preparation of Hospital Association Surveys. Assists with report writing for reimbursement projects. Provides supporting work papers and documentation for third-party inquiries. Assist with data gathering for the Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Sr. Reimbursement Consultant, the Sr. Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for the assistance with annual filing of third-party cost reports and providing financial analysis for special projects. The position is responsible for creating reports and testing reports for accuracy. The Sr Financial Analyst works with hospital department managers to gather data for preparation of the cost report. Position is responsible for reviewing all reports and data for reasonableness. A sense of urgency must be applied to completion of projects and reports, as the department is driven by month-end and governmental deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and 4 years of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, revenue cycle or reimbursement experience. MBA and CPA desired.
