The Facilities Planning and Management Department at Iowa State University is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to take on the role of Budget and Finance Specialist IIwho will be responsible for administering the business operations of the department. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Budget and Finance Specialist II to join our team. The Budget and Finance Specialist II has various responsibilities for activities related to accounting, business operations, financial management, and customer service. This role requires a strong emphasis on compliance, efficiency, continuous improvement, and collaboration within these responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:
-Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
-Oversee expenditures and monitor financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
-Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and standards. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
-Collaborate with various service areas to improve business operations and efficiency.
-Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and staff. Implement and maintain effective business processes and procedures.

-Answer Inquiries:Be the go-to person in business operations for customer questions and concerns, providing timely and helpful responses.
-Collect Feedback:Gather valuable feedback from customers to help us improve our services.
