This position will report to the Director of Budget at The City College of New York. In addition to the general duties, tasks include but are not limited to:
??? Assist in developing annual budgets under the direction of the Budget director
??? Maintain and update budget data in CUNYFirst and in assist in reconciling CUNYFirst with other financial systems
??? Analyze CUNYFirst budget and expenditure data, identify inconsistencies and suggest corrective actions.
??? Process budget transfers, adjustments and assist in preparing quarterly financial reports to management.
??? Record, track and process journals in CUNYFirst.
??? Provide support to staff related to budgets in CUNYFirst, Chart-fields input, requisitions in budget error as well as query functions.
??? Coordinate & process expense journals to ensure expense data is captured accurately in the General Ledger.
??? Update Budget Modifications in CF Financial systems and maintain tracking sheet.
??? Track Refund of Appropriation (ROA) Reimbursements
??? Coordinate with HR in assigning Budget Line #???s to backfills and new positions.
??? Assist budget team in coordinating personnel actions with Human Resources.
??? Add new positions to the Department Budget Table in CF.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
??? Assist in creating and editing Power-point presentations for upper management, incorporating data from excel
??? Using Excel for pivot tables, v-lookups, If statements and data analysis.
??? Updating Access databases and handling large data sets.
