Zions Bancorporation is currently seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with an emphasized exposure to finance, human resource and accounting related disciplines and integrated strong technology and architecture expertise. As an Enterprise Architect you will embrace Zions forward-looking Digital Banking Vision and contribute your leadership to achieve that vision. This person will be a catalyst for change, an advocate for the enterprise, and have a direct impact on Zions Bancorporation.
The Enterprise Architect will:
Create new business insight and perspective, clarify and illuminate strategic goals and strategies, guide strategy implementation, analyze business capabilities and identify synergistic opportunities
Provide technical leadership on strategic enterprise initiatives
Understand business objectives, research potential strategies, architect and design solutions
Provide leadership to guide implementations
Participate in business and technology strategic planning processes and guide business capability and technical capability initiative roadmaps
Establish future-state enterprise-centric IT architectures that consider business, information, application, infrastructure and security perspectives
Focus on the consistency, completeness, interoperability and quality of solutions.
Advocate for simple, standard, centralized and automated solutions to business needs
Mature the Enterprise Architecture practice horizontally across FLASH portfolio (Finance, Legal, Accounting, Supply Chain and Huma Resource)
Stay current on technologies, technology trends and directions, and best practices
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
Proven track record of influencing change and leading strategic enterprise IT initiatives to achieve well-defined business objectives
Deep hands-on technical expertise in multiple technical domains
Experience with digital business transformation
Ability to listen for understanding, resolve conflicts, negotiate compromise, and collaboratively lead business leaders and project teams to optimal solutions.
Understanding of information architecture concepts that enable well-integrated transactional, analytical, and collaborative systems
Ability to cultivate a shared strategic vision, articulate clear business objectives, and align the organization to achieve them
Experience with financial systems such as Oracle Financials, SAP, ERP and integrating aspects across HRIS systems such as ADP and Concur to mention a few
Experience with Oracle 11/12/13g; Oracle Cloud OCI including migrating to SAAS and expertise across Oracle eBS suite of products
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP accounting practices, SEC reporting, reconciliation requirements, and GL and subledger systems
Strong understanding of SOX Controls/Reporting including Risk Management Frameworks (SOC, RCSA and FFIEC Controls), and Fraud Disclosures
Knowledge and Experience with HRIS Systems including ADP, Concur, Performance/Development Management, Employee Onboarding is an added advantage
Exposure to Cloud Based Financial System integration is key as Zions moves towards a Cloud Native/Cloud-Based journey to become 'Digital to the Core'
8 plus years of experience in enterprise architecture and IT leadership in a highly regulated environment
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or related field
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and technical experts at all organizational levels.
Strong business and IT financial management acumen
Understanding of enterprise IT Service Management concepts
Nice to Have Experience:
Ability to establish and lead IT Centers of Excellence
Understanding of Agile methodology
Banking or other Financial Services experience
Supply Chain Management and Legal domain experience

Location: This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
