Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director Finance Operations within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Finance, the Director Finance Operations overseas CINJ level financial reporting, budget and decision support as well as analytics services. Responsibility encompasses financial oversight over multiple programs, divisions, major service contacts, and the clinical services affiliation agreement. Provides day-to-day leadership for all assigned segments of the Finance department.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
Oversees the Financial Reporting, Budget/Financial Planning and Decision Support/Analytics units of CINJ Finance. The units provide services to the CINJ and Rutgers Health reporting entities as well as various research programs and divisions.
Ensures that CINJ has adequate financial and internal control systems in place to comply with applicable Federal, State and Local regulatory laws, as well as generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and management reporting requirements.
Oversees work and provides guidance to finance staff and provides day-to-day leadership and coordination of all functions within the Division of Finance. Designs and implements internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulatory laws, as well as generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Develops and monitors productivity and performance.
Ensures that adequate organizational structure, systems, policies, and standard operating procedures are developed, maintained, and updated as needed to ensure continuity of operations and the consistent achievement of the Institute's financial objectives.
Supports the University's goal on diversity and EEO goals and objectives concerning employment and promotional opportunities.
Acts as a role model for customer service to stakeholders across CINJ, Rutgers, and outside contacts while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
