We are actively seeking a Senior Leveraged Finance trader who will contribute to our diverse and inclusive team based in Newport Beach. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in trading substantial volumes of high yield and bank loan assets, while also performing fixed income credit analysis and fostering relationships with brokerage firms.
The ideal candidate will bring a background in fixed income and possess a deep understanding of flows, liquidity trading, and the intricacies of the leveraged finance market. Additionally, they will demonstrate exceptional skills in writing new issue recommendations for the trade floor.

REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in fixed income trading capacity.
Direct experience trading High Yield and/or bank loan trading.
Strong academic credentials and achievement, with quantitative acumen preferred. Master/MBA preferred but not required.
Ability to execute trades and coordinate information flow for the Global Credit Desk.
Credit derivative and CDX knowledge a plus.
Strong communication skills, internally and externally. Manage the flow of information from the market to internal constituencies.
Ability to develop and manage external trading relationships as well as to strategize with Portfolio Managers.
Ability to develop thoughtful trading strategies for specific objectives.
Ability to remain calm and objective regardless of market volatility.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 200,000.00 - $ 305,000.00
