This position contributes to McKelveyâ™s financial and operational performance by applying a comprehensive understanding of business and operational expertise to strategic business planning and execution. Analyzes current and projected school financial operations and presents data to senior management for decision-making.
Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management
Provides support and consul to the school's senior management with regard to overall accounting and analyses.
Provides guidance and advice on financial matters.
Assures timely and accurate recording of accounting transactions.
Evaluates process flows in order to streamline efforts.
Financial Reporting
Providesmanagement with accurate and timely standard financial reporting.
Develops and maintains reports to monitor the school's financial performance for senior-level decision-making.Â
Multiple periods and views are required with frequent updates.
Provides ad-hoc reports using various reporting tools.Â
Prepares necessary data for University and CFU related requests/projects.
Financial Budgeting/Forecasting
Provides all budgeting, forecasting and subsequent reporting and analysis of the revenue component for the school.
Maintains all revenue models and makes modifications as needed.
Monitors overall financial performance and deviations from budgets and projections and closely collaborates with the Senior Associate Dean and the Director to keep them informed.
Compliance Standards
Establishes and maintains financial management policies and procedures.Â
Establishes and implements controls to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of all financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
Recharge Centers
Serves as the central finance lead, working with the personnel managing McKelveyâ™s recharge centers on a quarterly/yearly basis to ensure proper accounting treatment as prescribed by the CFU's External Reporting Cost analysis department.
Student Organizations and Other Similar Units
Serves as the central finance lead for groups that encompass all of school's departments to oversee uniform financial management.
Completes special requests and projects that support and advance the school's operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, MBA or equivalent.
Experience with an ERP system, preferably Workday.
Proven experience identifying processes and procedures for improvement and implementing such improvements.
Experience in reporting, budgeting, and analysis.Â
Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations from data to enhance revenues and savings.
Strong financial/transactional operations and workflow experience.
Proven leadership skills.
Excellent PC skills, including the Microsoft Suite.
Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in measurement, data analysis and interpretation.
Strong history of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility and partnering with business/academic leaders.
Ability to facilitate productive meetings.
Deadline and results oriented, analytical and precise.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Possesses a high level of professionalism, solid business judgment and integrity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field with five years of professional accounting, finance, reporting and/or related experience. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access or SQL. Report writing, budgeting and BI tools.

Salary Range
$64,700.00 - $110,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
