CUNY???s Supplier Diversity program has an ambitious agenda to promote and engage minority, women, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses for CUNY???s business opportunities. The Outreach & Compliance Manager will work to deliver on CUNY???s vision of maximizing business opportunities for the communities that the University is designed to serve by working to communicate and connect with certified firms. Reporting directly to the Director of Supplier Diversity, the manager will work closely with the College Business Offices.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Leads CUNY's supplier diversity goal compliance initiatives, encompassing data collection, validation, and state reporting in coordination with Empire State Development.
Oversees and identifies certified firms for CUNY business opportunities through comprehensive buyer outreach across the University.
Liaises with external businesses and associations to strategize and optimize participation of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB).
Represents CUNY at city and tri-state diversity outreach events.
Co-leads the development, planning, and execution of the annual CUNY Supplier Diversity conference.
Fosters and cultivates strategic vendor relationships to amplify the effectiveness of the Supplier Diversity Program.
Creates and disseminates outreach marketing materials, championing CUNY's supplier diversity brand, colleges, and schools.
Oversees procurement processes including generating purchase requisitions, initiating orders, and ensuring seamless vendor communication.
Directs the gathering and management of pre-solicitation documents from colleges, while liaising with the Central Office of Procurement for eProcurement software implementation.
Establishes and nurtures partnerships with key associations to devise strategies that boost MWBE and SDVOB engagement and utilization.
NOTE: Until further notice, this position is eligible to work remotely and work on-stie in the office.
Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
Prior vendor outreach or procurement experience preferred, not required.
Evaluation and research skills.
Knowledge of MS Office and database applications.
Detail oriented with excellent writing, organizational skills plus strong presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to events in the Tri-State, transport and setup materials up to 25lbs.
Ability to work effectively individually and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders and constituents of various levels.
Driver???s license holder preferred.

Assists in managing the University's financial operations, including accounting, reporting, analysis, and compliance activities.
Advises University and College managers on funding appropriateness and proposes fiscal solutions to resolve academic and/or administrative issues
Participates in developing University-wide budgeting policies and procedures; interprets and ensures compliance with University, State, and City policies, guidelines, rules and regulations
Participates in strategic planning and re-engineering efforts; evaluates outcomes and makes recommendations regarding resources
Develops and recommends fiscal policies and controls
Prepares and manages the production of financial, statistical, and analytical reports
Collaborates with government agencies, auditors, and others as needed
May negotiate contracts
May hire, supervise and train finance and/or clerical staff, and manage related administrative functions
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range:$82,928 - $100,329. Salary commensurate with qualifications, education and experience.
