Carnegie Mellon University's Finance Division is searching for a Senior Treasury Analyst to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support developing and managing complex modeling-based processes. You will identify and manage programs and projects that reduce risk and improve efficiencies across CMU's collective payment systems, technology, and infrastructure; serve as a payment consultant to key units that broadly receive an array of payments on behalf of the university, as well as participate in the banking relationship management function. You will help govern complex transactions and special projects that have nuanced funding opportunities and significant financial considerations, and sometimes maintain activities required to control, record and report banking activity, the calculation of daily cash positions and funding for cash obligations.
Core responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain comprehensive modeling frameworks to measure, analyze and monitor key enterprise metrics, including interest rate risk and capital adequacy measures.
- Reporting, monitoring and providing strategic and tactical recommendations to leadership related to the university's interest rate risk position.
- Improve and oversee a business-wide stress-testing program. Defines objectives and governance guidelines, and ensures proper coordination among the business, risk, and finance departments, to assess the university's long term financial positioning over time and under various conditions.
- Lead the development and implementation of banking and other specialized financial products, services, tools and technologies in a way that results in more effective, efficient and controlled processes.
- Support continuity in the activities required to control, record and report banking activity, and record select transactions, as well as the calculation of daily cash positions and funding for cash obligations.
- Back up debt service and swap-related payments, cash flow forecasting processes.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Years of experience: At least five years cash management/treasury experience.
- Preferred: Certified Treasury Professional, Chartered Financial Analyst, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Equivalent Training
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

- Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence 2 days a week.
