Service Line Overview
KPMG's Finance Consulting team enables clients to maximize the performance of their Finance function and uses the latest technology to improve insights for growth and governance.
Our team in Hong Kong is the fastest growing division within KPMG China and represents a young and enthusiastic team that always pushes itself to succeed. Since our creation, we have developed in-depth knowledge of an incredibly broad spread of sectors and services.
Being the consultant of our Finance Consulting team, you will be involved in helping our clients to review their current financial practice, identify possibilities to transform and enhance current business with process and target operation model review, supported by redesigned data, system and technology operation, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency, enabling better understanding of business through the lens of finance data and fulfill the rapidly changing demand for management information and regulatory reporting requirements.
We are looking for talents with an interest in pursuing a management consulting career in the Finance Consulting field.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for delivery of large-scale finance & accounting transformation engagements, from finance strategy and target operating model development through finance technology modernization and deployment
Conduct benchmarking analysis, business case & roadmap development including functional process modeling, technology architecture design, governance structure & reporting design, organizational structure & service delivery design
Assist clients in determining how to optimise their financial and non-financial performance, including KPI definitions, the design of the corresponding data model, and the design of processes for planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting and analytics
Participate in finance technology-enabled modernization programmes to drive the finance modernization agenda, including multi-year programmes related to General Ledger and Reporting platform implementations
Experience & Background
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, Engineering or Informatics
At least 6 years of consulting experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of finance operating models, processes and platforms/systems, and strong track record on management and implementation of related projects
Experience on helping Finance functions address the aforementioned pain-points either as consultants or as in-house staff Understanding of common Finance systems and tools used by Finance functions
Experience in working with different Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools, such as Oracle Hyperion, Tagetik, Board, Anaplan etc.
Experience on helping companies improve reporting process through enhancing data quality, designing data and system architecture and implementing data repository / database a plus
Strong people manager, able to lead large teams and develop others
Experience in performing business development activities a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Associate Director
Additional Responsibilities for Associate Director
Drive business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities to expand project pipelines
