The Southeast Michigan Grants Coalition (SEMGC) is a subsidiary of the Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP), formed in response to the Economic Development Administration's Build Back Better Regional Challenge. The EDA awarded the region a $52 million Build Back Better grant, funding six unique projects under the Global Epicenter of Mobility (GEM) to help the region and country maintain its global automotive leadership. SEMGC serves as the GEM initiative's central administrative body, supporting the work of its six core projects.
