Summary of Duties:
This position provides a variety of fiscal support and financial reporting for the VCEA's Dean's Office. The incumbent provides support with professional level assignments and coordinates work with that of other units within the college. Applies principles of financial management to perform such functions as record keeping, auditing, analysis, budgeting, travel, purchasing and other types of fiscal operations. Reviews and researches operating procedures and problems and develops solutions and/or recommendations.
This position is responsible for receiving purchase requests, making purchases, notifying customers of order status, logging transactions as they occur and reconciling purchasing documents. Additional responsibilities include making travel arrangements, communicating with travelers, and logging transactions that occur. Maintaining and revising complex electronic data base files and records. In performing tasks, must apply knowledge of office goals and work commitments to ensure compliance with university regulations and requirements.
Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Demonstrated ability to use and assist with office equipment.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Extreme attention to detail.
Experience working with the Public or in a Customer Service setting.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, co-workers and constituents.
