Ranney School seeks a full-time Upper School Business & Finance Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of Ranney’s growing Business & Financial Studies program while overseeing the Cantin Family Finance Lab, a signature facility featuring a dozen Bloomberg Terminals. The successful candidate will teach introductory high school coursework up to college-level corporate finance, and will bring to Ranney the College Board’s new AP Business & Personal Finance course. They will also provide leadership for key program components, including our chapter of Future Business Leaders of America and our Business & Financial Studies Certificate pathway.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Teach Business & Finance courses across the full program sequence—from foundational coursework in market concepts to advanced, college-level corporate finance—along with AP Business & Personal Finance
Oversee the Finance Lab and promote Bloomberg Terminal integration schoolwide, fostering interest among colleagues in other disciplines and supporting their use of the space.
Advise and coach Ranney’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, helping students prepare for competitions, events, and leadership opportunities.
Coordinate the Business & Financial Studies Certificate program, including tracking student progress, overseeing requirements, and encouraging student participation.
Facilitate a course in the Upper School’s “Maymester” program, an experiential education program that takes place over the last two weeks of the school year
Mentor students in advisory, participate in division and department meetings, and serve in various supervisory roles.
Developing strong relationships with students and colleagues is critical for one’s success at Ranney and for the school’s accomplishment of its mission.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with degree and experience.

The ideal candidate:
will hold a degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, with broad knowledge of financial markets, corporate finance, and business principles
must demonstrate significant experience utilizing Bloomberg Terminals
will bring either prior teaching experience, or the enthusiasm and communication skills to translate professional expertise into an engaging classroom experience
