Incumbent is part of team responsible for managing the budgeting, financial planning, and operational finance for assigned service lines. Responsible for development of budget, benchmarking, productivity metrics, service line analysis, and data extract. Develops information and modeling to create effective recommendations to supervision/management. Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures. Works with cost center leaders to identify opportunities for efficiencies; utilizes project management skills to prioritize and implement tools, processes, and other initiatives; establishes metrics and benchmarks to measure progress and success. Incumbent reviews internal and external trend analyses and effectively identifies corrective measures as needed. Provides for the measurement and benchmarking of business operations in relation to best business practices for the healthcare industry and internal business objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc.)
Must demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management
Five (5) years of experience in a hospital-based environment working with general ledger and cost data as well as service line and payor analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Evidence of sound critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically
Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Demonstrated knowledge of Decision Support Systems and subsystems
Demonstrated advanced level of analytical skill
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to anticipate questions and address information needs by providing comprehensive analyses
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in an academic medical center or complex teaching environment
Masters degree in business administration, health administration, CPA, or other relevant degree program
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
