The Finance Manager (FM) is responsible for the effective and efficient management of all business and financial operations of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center (BCC). The FM independently directs and supervises the day-to-day management of finances (budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing) from multiple fund sources including contracts and grants, philanthropic funds and institutional support funds. The FM works directly with the Associate Director for Administration (ADA), and indirectly with the Center Director, in defining and prioritizing specific needs related to the Center's fiscal operations and in developing objectives and strategies to cost-effectively meet those needs. The FM performs high level analysis to aid in the financial planning and strategic management of the BCC. In addition, as directed by the ADA, the FM has primary responsibility for overseeing a significant business process analysis, change management and implementation of the financial affairs of the BCC.
