Assistant Professor - Finance, Information Systems and Economics

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Lehman College, CUNY, School of Business seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in management information systems or information systems with application to business in the Department of Finance, Information Systems, and Economics.

The candidate is responsible for developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in management information systems, including courses in business analytics and IT security, and other technical areas of focus such as fintech, information security, and risk management, among others. The candidate will conduct research, publish in refereed journals, and present research findings annually at academic conferences; engage in service to the department, college, and university; and participate in any other tasks normally associated with a full-time academic appointment. Evening and online teaching are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in Management Information Systems, or a related area. The candidate should have a demonstrated research record and potential for teaching excellence. Candidates with industry/work experience with knowledge of business applications of information systems in various sectors, including healthcare, are preferred.

COMPENSATION

$99,532

CUNY offers full-time faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
