Finance Budget Manager (HEA)
POSITION DETAILS
The Finance Budget Manager will report to the Budget Director at The City College of New York.
- Analyze large volumes of payroll data between CUNYFIRST and Statewide Financial systems (SFS) for quarterly payroll reconciliations.
- Payroll projections to central office and senior management for the Quarterly Financial plan.
- Develop budget-related training modules for various departments.
- Oversee the tax levy budget, including preparation, monitoring, and execution of financial plans submitted to the University Budget Office.
- Develop systems for decentralized budget and position management, as well as methods for improved financial planning.
- Support strategic planning activities, including budget projections, allocations, financial statements, and statistical reporting.
- Create and implement automated solutions to facilitate financial planning, decision- making, and reporting.
- Manage and contribute to the development of the annual budget.
- Create financial models to monitor and analyze spending.
- Evaluate reports and collaborate with other managers to resolve issues and discrepancies.
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate budget policies and procedures, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Skills required are advanced excel and formulation of power-point presentations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.

- Prepares guidelines, funding formulas, and models for the annual budget
- Supports strategic planning activities; assesses outcomes and makes recommendations regarding resource allocations.

- May hire, supervise, and train budget and/or clerical staff.

Salary Range: $93,491 - $96,602. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
