The Finance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring finance transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. The Finance Coordinator primarily executes and reviews routine travel, non-catalogue purchase orders, procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, and asset management transactions. They will also provide guidance for sole source justification purchases, capitalized asset purchases, and provide financial review of basic funds management. They will also responsible for cash handling, warrant requests, processing of internal charges and reconciling revenue and expense transactions. The Finance Coordinator will work closely with employees within the University, as well as the department, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions. This position functions under general supervision and is expected utilize technology to provide professional services.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma plus 3 years of related finance work experience; equivalent education/experience considered. A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of finance terminology and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree. Experience performing finance tasks in a business setting. Experience functioning in a team environment. Experience with SAP or large integrated finance system. Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices.
