Trilogy, the leading ocean tourism company based in Lahaina, Maui, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is an immediate opening, and we are looking to fill the position as soon as possible with a qualified professional who can contribute to our company’s success from day one.
Position Overview
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Controller will play a critical role in shaping Trilogy's financial strategy and operations. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. The Controller will provide strategic insights to guide decision-making and ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Lead and mentor a team to maintain high standards of financial operations.
Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
Proven experience in financial management or accounting, ideally in the tourism or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience contributing to executive-level decision-making.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $110,000/year
Bonus: Up to 22% of base pay annual bonus potential

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and internal controls.
Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving results.
Experience in the tourism or hospitality industry is desirable but not required
