Description The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University invites applications for non-tenure line Professor of the Practice in the area of Global Accounting and Finance, to begin August 1, 2025. The position is housed within the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy. The successful candidate would be expected to teach foundational courses accounting and finance and contribute to the intellectual life of the Program.
Applicants must have a graduate degree in accounting, finance or related field by the time of appointment; proven excellence in teaching finance and accounting; the ability to link international current events to business and financial decision-making; experience leading case studies, simulations, work projects, and classroom discussions. Global investment banking and/or asset management industry experience, including knowledge of ESG tools and accounting and financial industry licensure, would be desirable, as would the ability to foster links with industry practitioners to enhance students' educational experience.

The projected base salary ranges are Assistant Rank $73,576 - $85,000; Associate Rank: $97,284 - $110,987, Full Rank: $129,193 - $142,635. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
