Description
The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial and accounting operations for all ACUHO-I entities (ACUHO-I, ACUHO-I Management LLC, and ACUHO-I Foundation) and affiliates, a $9.2 million portfolio. Responsibilities include: planning effective internal controls and associated policies/procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data for ACUHO-I entities and affiliates; developing and guiding the implementation of new and updated financial policies/procedures; directing the process for the annual financial audit for ACUHO-I entities in cooperation with the independent audit firm; designing and managing the annual budget process for ACUHO-I entities; presenting financial information to executive leadership, Board of Trustees, and volunteer leaders; strategically assesses and supervises business process improvements including current business systems and processes, and internal control structure, including assisting staff with understanding of financial reports; managing and overseeing work of finance support staff, volunteer committees including the Foundation Board finance committee, and third-party vendors including providers of the financial management system and the association management system. Must maintain knowledge of current and changing IRS and GAAP rulings.
Duties
50%: Directs financial and accounting operations for all ACUHO-I entities and affiliates; presents financial information to executive leadership, Board of Trustees, and volunteer leaders; managing and overseeing work of finance support staff, volunteer committees including the Foundation Board finance committee, and third-party vendors including providers of the financial management system and the association management system.
20%: Plans appropriate internal controls and associated policies/procedures to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data for ACUHO-I entities and affiliates; develops and guides the implementation of new and updated policies/procedures.
20%: Designs and manages the annual budget process for ACUHO-I entities.
10%: Directs the process for the annual financial audit for ACUHO-I entities in cooperation with the independent audit firm.

Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting, business administration, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; at least five years of experience in accounting and financial reporting; excellent Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat skills.
Desired Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license; experience in managerial capacity; strong analytic skills, good written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to adapt to new business technologies/processes, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment; excellent internal and external customer service skills.
