Job DescriptionThe Associate Dean for Finance and Administrative Operationsserves as the chief fiscal and operations officer for the Woods College ofAdvancing Studies. In this pivotal role, the Associate Dean collaboratesclosely with the Dean on a range of responsibilities related to academic andfaculty operations, financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. TheAssociate Dean is dedicated to ensuring the efficient utilization of resourceswhile overseeing key administrative functions, including financial management,human resources, and facilities operations.
The Associate Dean directs budget planning, forecasting, andadministration to optimize resource allocation and monitor financialperformance. This includes generating reports on enrollments and programprofitability, as well as providing financial forecasts and annual reports asneeded. The role also encompasses managing the hiring processes for faculty andstaff, overseeing annual evaluations, and handling HR transactions.
In addition, the Associate Dean is responsible for managingacademic operations by overseeing revenue from enrollments and supportingoperational improvements. The position involves ensuring compliance withaccreditation requirements and managing the hiring of part-time faculty.Facilities management is another critical aspect of this role, where the AssociateDean advises on space needs, oversees building operations, and coordinatesmaintenance and renovation projects.
The Associate Dean also plays a strategic rolein participating in the college's planning processes and developing analyticalreports to support resource allocation decisions. Collaborating withleadership, this role helps implement operational policies and procedures whileassessing IT needs to enhance administrative efficiency.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $121,200 to $151,500; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
RequirementsCandidates should possess extensive experience in financialmanagement, budgeting, and administrative operations, along with strongleadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaborationabilities are essential. Masters of Business Administration preferred.
