The UC Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences is the first public pharmacy school in the Los Angeles-Orange County region. Its faculty and programs span a continuum from discovery, development, and delivery of new drugs, devices, and diagnostics all the way to optimizing medication therapy in patients and patient populations. The school offers a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, MS in Pharmacology, PhD in Pharmacological Sciences, and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.) As part of the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, we actively collaborate with schools and programs in medicine, nursing, and population, public health, and the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute to educate, train, and mentor the next generation of pharmaceutical scientists and clinical pharmacists. Your Role on the Team
Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, the incumbent is responsible for the financial and administrative management of the Purchasing and Reimbursement function in the Finance Team. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced financial service professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures. Resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Provides supervision and guidance to team members, as well as lead school-wide training sessions. In consultation with Director of Finance, implement practices to ensure school-wide compliance with UC and sponsor financial requirements.

Required:
Thorough knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.
Strong proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.
Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Leadership skills to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to professional and support staff.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
3+ years of relevant progressive experience
