Summary of Duties:
As the Finance/Budget Manager you will be responsible for the management, administration, and fiscal coordination for all fiscal duties and administrative actions relating to University Recreation (UREC) and the Chinook to include their dining operations and related activities. Your duties will include but are not limited to using independent judgment to develop, monitor, analyze all fiscal reporting, budget development, managing all department business and support staff, planning and ensuring compliance with department, University, and state policies and procedures as designated by the supervisor and unit directors. You will coordinates routine maintenance of accounting records, personnel records and other fiscal matters
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Three (3) years of progressive responsible experience in fiscal management or budget development.
Experience with various financial activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, travel, personnel, cost analysis and budget planning.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Experience with personnel training and supervision.
Knowledge of Windows based computer system and Microsoft applications.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office software, Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and macros, QuickBooks, Workday, Point of Sale, and Resource 25 scheduling software.
Demonstrate strong written, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Experience and/or knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations pertaining to fiscal management.
Experience with WSU or higher education system, which includes familiarity with an enterprise mainframe system, personnel processes, budget experience and fiscal process.
Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures and Washington Administrative Codes.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
