The Senior Director is an integral member of the Division of Student Affairs/Dean of Students leadership team. They provide business, financial, and analytical support for all units reporting to the Dean of Students (Community Service Center, Dean of Students Administrative Office, Disability & Access Services, Academic Testing Center, Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground, LGBQTIA+ Student Resource Center, Judicial Affairs, Off-Campus Housing, Student Activities, Orientation, Parents' Program, Residence Life, Shared Business Services, Yearbook). Other areas include but may not be limited to the Boston University Academy, Harriet E. Richards Cooperative House, and the Women's Guild. This support will include triaging with Financial Assistance and other University colleagues to assist students and families in need (financial, emergencies etc.). The Senior Director provides oversight for all operations and administrative tasks by establishing and enforcing policies and processes, ensuring the fiscal health of the division, managing complex human resource matters (including the hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development experiences) for exempt and non-exempt employees, and overseeing continuous improvement of the division's technology infrastructure.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years of experience. Master's degree preferred.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are a must.
Proficient in Excel and project management.
