Position: Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance, Department of Accounting and Finance, William G. Rohrer College of Business – 10 month full-time tenure track position
Department and College Information:
The Finance Program at Rowan offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, A Masters in Finance degree, a Finance Certificate of Graduate Studies and a Finance Concentration in the MBA program. It is housed within the Department of Accounting & Finance, which also offers a BS in Accounting. The department has approximately 1,000 accounting and finance majors, making it one of the largest programs in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey region. The RCB, which is accredited by the International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), had approximately 2,500 undergraduate and masters’ level students. The Rohrer College of Business subscribes to several platforms and databases, including WRDS (e.g., Compustat, CRSP, Audit Analytics, Execucomp), Capital IQ, and Bloomberg – to support its research active faculty.
Position Description:
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, developing and/or maintaining an active and highly visible research program with outstanding scholarship in a related area and in support of quality teaching, participating in assurance of learning activities, mentoring upper division students, engaging actively in department, college, university, and professional service, and participating in business outreach activities. While courses are offered using various delivery modes, including traditional classrooms, hybrid, and online, candidates are expected to teach live, in-classroom from our Glassboro, New Jersey campus.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited institution or related discipline with a conferral date no later than July 1, 2025, and demonstrate evidence of effective teaching at the collegiate level. Professional experience is desirable.

General Information:
The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of three academic departments within the Rohrer College of Business, which is AACSB-accredited. The other two academic departments are the Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems, and the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. The Rohrer College of Business moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art building in January 2017. The college is committed to investing in research support tools for faculty, including new databases and travel support funding.
