The Department of Finance in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University located in Ames, IA is seeking a part time term faculty member to teach one or more courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Finance, Insurance, and/or Actuarial Science for Spring semester 2025. Salary is commensurate with experience
The successful candidate(s) will be able to deliver using one or more of the following modes: online, on campus, blended, or flipped; and participate in department service activities. The position may also include a research component, requiring the faculty member to maintainAACSBaccreditation qualification standards.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Business or closely related field
Qualified candidates must meet the colleges standards to be scholarly academically qualified under AACSB accreditation standards.
For those applying at the level of full Professor of Teaching, a minimum of 6 years of teaching experience within higher-education is required, in addition to the above
For those applying at the level of full Professor of Practice, extensive professional experience is required, in addition to the above
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Finance or closely related field
Professional industry experience (e.g., financial services, venture capital, insurance, corporate finance)
Professional credentials in finance (e.g., CFA) or actuarial science (e.g., FSA, ASA, FCAS, ACAS)
Experience teaching within higher education
Solid technological skills to support use of online instructional tools
