The Innovation Campus at Burlington, MA (ICBM) Director of Finance is responsible for managing organizational fiscal operations and industry funded research contracts for Division 49. The Director is responsible for ensuring proper fiscal management and applying best practices in compliance with university policy and research contract requirements in service of the strategic objectives of the ICBM. Through careful financial planning and complex financial analyses, the Director will have responsibility for planning and development of budgets, cost proposals, and budget tracking and reporting within the several university systems.
In addition to the above, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, tracking ICBM revenue, reviewing monthly expenses, forecasting year-end balances, troubleshooting and resolving various fiscal issues, industry research contract review, lease contracts review and management, professional services agreements, and ensuring appropriate fiscal controls are in place. The Director will supervise one or more financial administrators and will provide appropriate training and guidance. The Director will perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed and create presentations for Division 49 leadership. The Director will work with the Division 49 leadership to identify operational issues, recommend and implement appropriate fiscal controls, and design systems for improvement.

Qualifications:
Degree in finance, Master's degree in business administration preferred
8+ years financial management experience with a demonstrated ability to respond to and manage rapidly evolving priorities
Proven track record of effective and results driven problem solving and decision-making
Proven experience with Data Analysis
Excellent customer service focus
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse constituencies
Deep understanding of campus climate within higher education and how to take actions that satisfy diverse interests while achieving departmental goals
Experience with financial systems in use at the university (Banner, Cognos, WorkDay, Concur, etc.) and ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems being implemented
Experience with a variety of corporate funding vehicles
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
