ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE The District of Squamish respectfully acknowledges that it lives and works on the traditional and unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nations. Squamish Nation and the District of Squamish recognize that the interests of all persons living in our communities are best served by working together and building an effective government-to-government relationship. The District of Squamish (the District) delivers a range of services to our municipality to ensure a safe, highly functioning, and livable community. The District is governed by six Councillors and one Mayor who, with leadership and staff, are committed to advancing strategic social and economic growth, while preserving the values and character of the region.
