The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives, the Finance Officer will support various functions that are essential to ICAP Finance business processes and systems. S/he will manage ICAP???s restricted party screening tool and provide support for financial management operations including consolidated operating budget data gathering and analysis. The Finance Officer will also provide project management support.
Responsibilities
Restricted Party Screening Tool (45%)
Facilitate new user registration
Provide orientation on ICAP procedures for a web-based restricted party screening tool
Respond to users??? requests
Manage screening and users records and reports
Consolidated Operating Budget (35%)
Working closely with the Sr Budget Analyst and Sr Strategic Initiatives Manager, prepare ICAP???s consolidated operating budget (COB) figures and analyses for assigned projects.
Continually update project COB figures and information for assigned projects.
Participate actively in monthly pipeline reviews and award meetings for assigned projects. Under the guidance of the Sr Budget Analyst or Sr Strategic Initiatives Manager, provide relevant budget data, analyses, and budget adjustment recommendations as needed to country offices and ICAP NY teams, and follow up on their implementation.
Assist in the development unrestricted funds budgets
Prepare data for upload to applicable tools
Perform other COB tasks as assigned
Other Financial and Project Management Support (15%)
Assist in the coordination of various audit and compliance review responses
Carry out project management support tasks as assigned
Other (5%)
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in financial or project management
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Advanced Excel Skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor???s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Information Systems or related fields
Five (5) years of experience in financial management or project management
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience with international protocols, non-profit organizations or academic institutions Knowledge of Columbia University systems or other computer application systems
Fluency in any of the following languages would be a plus: French, Portuguese, Spanish, or Russian
