Job Overview

The College of Medicine, Office of Operations and Finance is recruiting a Senior Business Administrator. This person will oversee and manage financial, operational, and administrative activities for the College of Medicine and UC Physicians. They will have direct supervisory responsibilities in addition to managing and administering specialized activities related to the business of the College of Medicine and the College of Medicine faculty practice plan. In addition, this person will serve as a lead in working with departments on training business staff, auditing process, recommending workflows and conduct or carry out work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations.
Essential Functions
Manage the financial, administrative, and operational activities of defined projects for the COM and COM Faculty Practice Plan as assigned by Operations and Finance leadership.
Direct dually compensated provider compensation for the COM to include: Assisting Departments with updating annual compensation addendums and working with the Departments as needed for legal and administrative approval; Managed COM Compensation Tool and ensure that departmental assumptions follow published compensation addendums; Developing payroll calculation tools to support published addendums; Review and approve annual salary increases for dually compensated providers; Review and approve monthly variable calculations for dually compensated providers; Ensure monthly compensation is fully automated and balanced to source reports.
Oversee budget variance reporting for the COM, the COM Faculty Practice Plan and the Physician Network at UC Health (UCPC).
Administer the College of Medicine Scorecard for Dean's office.
Oversee UCP & COM Websites and Research Directory.
Participate and manage activities for College committees as assigned (ie: Scorecard Committee, Website, and Clinical Practice and Standards).
Serves as an expert resource to others; may serve on committees and special projects.
Serve as interim business administrator as needed.
Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines as needed to support departmental operations.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Complete other duties as assigned including special projects. This job description can be changed at any time.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree with five (5) years' experience; - OR- Associate's degree and seven (7) years' experience; -OR- nine (9) years' experience; degree must be in Business Administration or related field. Financial and administrative experience is required and must include three (3) years supervision. Incumbent must possess the business/financial experience to be fully proficient in performing most or all work assignments.
Incumbent must possess an ability to function as either the business expert in a single highly complex and integrated business area or as the business expert in multiple complex financial areas and understand problems from a broad, interactive perspective and must possess substantial knowledge of other specialties and ability to integrate this knowledge.
