Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Dean for Finance and Administration for the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR). Reporting to the Dean of the SMLR and the Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration this position has overall responsibility for School-level financial management and budgetary planning, sponsored research administration, compliance with human resource policies, and administrative support services for a professional school with 64 salaried TT and NTT faculty members, over 48 full time staff and combined budgets exceeding $40 million.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides executive level strategic business management support to academic and administrative departments within the school.
Provides leadership and direction in the administrative management of revenue generating areas of the school such as Executive and Professional Education and LEARN.
This position is a member of the Dean's Executive Committee developing and implementing the strategic plan of the school.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree
A minimum of ten years of supervisory and/or executive experience in higher education is required, including responsibility for budget development and financial management, human resources management, facilities management, and strategic long-range planning.
