The Swenson College of Science and Engineering is seeking a Grants/Research Finance Professional. Incumbents will be part of the collegiate finance team, performing post-award financial management for an assigned portfolio of faculty. This individual will work closely with the other members of the SCSE finance team as well as with faculty and their personnel to manage and facilitate grant activities. They will offer guidance and expertise on budgeting, compliance, electronic data and file management and reporting.
Flexible work arrangements are available for this position and may include flexibility in schedule and/or work location.
Essential Functions:
Financial Management - Sponsored Projects 90%
Post-award management of extramural and internal awards
Coordinate with pre-award staff to establish proposal budgets and ensure transition from pre- to post-award
Coordinate with SPA/SFR for reporting, communications, amendments, and close-out
Prepare monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports for proactive award management
Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with PIs to advise on financial status of projects; identify budget issues, communicate with project staff, and facilitate changes and corrections
