This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $43,000 to $67,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.

Stanford's Business Affairs provides administrative policies, infrastructure, systems, services, and support for the benefit of the university community.
Financial Management Services (FMS), a department within Business Affairs, is responsible for creating an ecosystem which promotes innovative and sound financial administration policies and practices that balance controls, compliance, and customer service. FMS is primarily responsible for financial policy oversight, quality assurance and financial services at Stanford University and its affiliated entities. It also serves as a liaison to the hospitals and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). JOB PURPOSE:
Provide finance-related support to the Financial Support Center as well as provide professional customer service by responding to assigned incoming portal support requests. Offer solutions based on understanding of university financial policies, processes, and best practices.
CORE DUTIES:
Provide support to the Financial Support Center by resolving support requests as assigned. May include Survey Responses received, Open Tasks with Resolved Tickets and others as needed.
Convert received INC or CAT tickets daily as received.
Assist with W2 remailing process during tax season by accurately documenting information in Excel.
Provide professional frontline support to campus clients for their financial transaction needs through specific, assigned support requests such as Cancel PO, Change PTA. Other transactional updates as needed.
Monitor mail for returned check payments and follow up with campus contacts for correct addresses or changing payment method.
Follow through and follow up with clients on pending requests.
Other items as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent and two years' work experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
Ability to operate computerized office applications and accounting systems.
Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to internal audiences and client groups.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize to meet response standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently sit, sort, file paperwork or parts, grasp lightly, and use fine manipulation, lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh 10 pounds or less.
Occasionally write by hand, twist, bend, stoop and squat.
Rarely stand, walk, reach or work above shoulders and use a telephone.
