What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
The Senior Software Engineer (Finance & Corporate Applications), will be responsible for facilitating the implementation and support of Finance and Corporate applications to enhance the clients' business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities:
Strategy/Roadmap
Research, architect and estimate solutions requested from Finance Transformation Office (TMO)
Have an enterprise perspective, assist with Finance Business Relevant IT Strategy (BRITs), balance between short-term investment vs. long term roadmap and help others to understand broad implications of decision making.
Perform IT due diligence in evaluating SaaS solutions used by Finance, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audits, etc.
Build/Execution
Lead execution of TMO projects by providing functional expertise, guidance on SAP products and effective collaboration with other IT and business partners
Lead SaaS solution integration with Cardinal systems including but not limited to integration with OKTA, IIQ, ServiceNow, SAP ERP, etc.
Run/Operations
Work with SaaS solution business leaders to complete annual resiliency plan, assessment and HA/DR test when applicable
Support on-prem application infrastructure needs including OS and software upgrade, hardware sizing, managing cloud costs, etc.
Qualifications
8+ years experience in software development preferred
Experience in SaaS solution technical evaluation and integration with on-prem systems
5+ years of SAP Finance knowledge and experience preferred
3+ years of Oracle Hyperion technical experience preferred
Familiar with AWS and GCP cloud technology
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience
Strong communication skills, written and verbal required
Proven leadership ability required
