Position Description: As the Director, Finance Operations, you will serve as a leader and critical member of Advancement Services' Finance & Business Services (FBS) team and be responsible for operating budget management and procurement activities for External Affairs $86M+ budget. You will function as the organization's expert administrator of financial policy and procedures and establish internal controls that meet the requirements as set by UCLA business policies. As part of External Affairs' Advancement Services organization, the FBS team is an internal service group that performs vital financial services with an emphasis on budget, procurement management and accounting for all campus department as well as UCLA constituents. In close collaboration with the Senior Director, the Director will represent FBS leadership as needed at business manager meetings, as part of the business partners' consortium, team meetings, and other senior level meetings. As our Director, you will direct management of the Advancement Services and the Vice Chancellor's Office to ensure all financial transactions meet university policies and procedures and will conduct monthly review and reconciliation for all financial and procurement transactions for the organization. You will create financial queries and publish detailed transaction reports, and will reconcile and realize EA budgeted revenue transfers and manage monthly journals. In this role, you will manage several required annual processes that include the annual asset management process and the Foundation and Alumni Association's primary business list. As our Director, you will manage the fiscal year-end activity for the organization, and lead the annual CAO/CFO certification process. You will partner with the Business Services & Training Manager to develop training resources for all EA staff and serve as a lead agent for the organization, as new and/or enhanced UCLA systems are developed and launched. As our Director, you will serve as the primary Department Security Administrator (DSA) for External Affairs. In addition, you will supervise professional and support staff by setting priorities, evaluating performance and providing guidance on problem resolution.

Special Instructions: The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $9,583.33 monthly.
