The candidate will join the Expense Management team in Finance to drive cost management initiatives, leveraging on data driven analytics, to achieve cost efficiencies and optimal return on dollar spent. To facilitate resource allocation aligning to bank's strategic objectives.
Main Duties
Finance Operations
Lead the team in cost accounting of vendor invoices for payments and staff claims. Ensuring adherence to the bank's expense policies.
Review GST and withholding tax accounting associated with accounts payable
Reviewer of the bank's reconciliation/nostro ageing report and monthly internal accounts (IAO) substantiation
Authoriser for funding for rep office and branches
Financial Analysis
Leverage on data analytics to provide insights for cost decision
Workflow improvements/Projects
Lead in process improvement initiatives and automation
Qualifications
Requirements
At least 5 years relevant working experience in a managerial Finance operation roles
Experience in project management and workflow improvement an advantage
Strong accounting foundation
Knowledge in GST and withholding tax rules
Hands on knowledge in software, eg Excel, Access, VBA, SQL or Python a bonus
