Job Description:
The Graduate College is currently seeking applicants for a Budget and Finance Specialist I or II. This is a regular with term appointment (fixed term) position with a term end date of 12/31/2025, with the opportunity for renewal.
Summary Plans, analyzes, prepares, and compiles the universityâs budget activity.
Example of Duties ⢠Provides analytical support for routine budget projects. ⢠Compiles and updates statistical data for various financial reports.
⢠Advises administration and staff regarding available options and budgetary implications. ⢠Assists in preparation of operational budgets for departments; reviews expenditures to ensure conformance with budgetary provisions. ⢠Compiles data and prepares reports. ⢠Provides analytical support for budget projects and deals directly with major department managers. ⢠Prepares and emits statistical reports for the comparison between the current situation and budgeted forecast. ⢠Prepares and analyzes the universityâs expenses and revenue plans.
⢠Researches to find answers to questions or problems regarding capital projects, department accounts, and budget analysis.
⢠Support administration of graduate college and externally funded fellowship programs including supporting the graduate student experience, providing reports to funding agencies, and leading tuition process improvement efforts.
The Budget and Finance Specialist position will be filled at the Budget and Finance Specialist I or II level, depending on the candidate's qualifications.
The level I position has minimum required qualifications of Bachelorâs degree and is a PS807 pay level.
The level II position has minimum required qualifications of Bachelorâs degree and 2 years of related experience and is a PS808 pay level.
