The Julis-Rabinowitz Center for Public Policy and Finance (JRCPPF) at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs seeks candidates for a professional specialist position to start by September 1, 2023. JRCPPF's mission is to promote research and teaching at the intersection of financial markets and macroeconomics. The Center offers unique opportunities for collaboration among students, researchers, financial industry professionals, and public policy practitioners. The Center convenes a major public conference as well as multiple talks and panels each year, bringing the world's leading scholars and practitioners in economics, finance, and policy to Princeton University. The Center also houses multiple research streams, supports a large and active student associate program, and offers a range of co-curricular opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students. JRCPPF is expanding its international collaborations with a focus on emerging markets. JRCPPF seeks a professional specialist who will contribute to both to the new international initiative and to the Center's academic programs (50% of the position), in addition to conducting their own original research (50% of the position). On the international side, the specialist will work with the Center directors to design and lead short courses tailored to professional audiences in emerging markets. On the academic side, the specialist will design and lead non-credit policy clinics for Princeton students. The candidate will engage scholars at all levels in policy work, including authoring comments and briefs, and bringing experts from the public and private sectors to speak at Princeton. We seek candidates with experience working in emerging markets committed to interdisciplinary research and teaching at the intersection of finance and macroeconomics. Applicants must have an advanced or professional degree in economics, finance, or public policy. A Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates will be evaluated according to their academic qualifications and professional experience, as well as their teaching ability.
